As a member of Redpath Museum Club, you are invited to go on a tour of the beautiful Osler library. If you’ve never been, it contains approximately 600 medical artifacts, including furniture and items owned by Sir William Osler, and over 80,000 rare books. All of these are located in the beautiful wood paneled library itself which was originally in the Strathcona Medical Building and reassembled in the McIntyre Building.
If art or architecture is your thing – the beautiful wood panelling, stained glass windows and portrait paintings may appeal to you. Or if you are just interested in exploring the hidden wonders at McGill University, please feel free to come!
The tour will be led by the History of Medicine Librarian Pamela Miller on Wednesday, November 10th at 5:30. Please RSVP by sending us an email to reserve a space.
